“UP, DE VALERA!”
ROWDY INAUGURAL MEETING IN DUBLIN LABOUR CAMPAIGN Dublin, AprU 10. Amidst cries of “Up, de Valera!” a group of men hoisted a red flag, on which were a skull and cross-bones in white and the initials of the Irish national unemployment movement, at a meeting inaugurating the Irish Labour Party’s political campaign. Chairs were used as weapons of offence and defence. Finally the Interrupters stormed the platform. The police removed a number of men.
