TOWN AND COUNTRY Dr. P. T. Piituum and Mr. Pip Moore, of Palmerston North, have retifrued from a holiday spent at Taupo. Air. IS. R. B. Holben, of Palmerston North, is spending a few days in Wellington. The Rev. C. F. Pierce, headmaster of the Wanganui Collegiate School, is visiting Rotorua. lie is expected back on Tuesday. Mrs. Stanley Wright is the guest of Mrs. Tyerman, Wanganui. Mrs. Bennett, Hawera, visited Wanganui this week.
Mrs. Church, Palmerston North, is the guest of Mrs. L. Satchel!, Wanganui. Misses St. Clair Inglis, Takapuna, Hawke’s Bay, are visiting Wanganui. Air. and Airs. G. F. Whitlock, Stratford, were the guests of Airs. Newson, St. John’s Hill, for the Whitlock-Ansell wedding. Aliss Af. Taylor has returned to Wanganui East from a holiday at New Plymouth.
Aliss Montgomerie Aloore has returned to Wanganui from a long holiday in the . South Island. Air. and Airs. Reid, Hamilton, are visiting Wanganui. Mrs. Alfred Miller, Auckland, is the guest of Airs. Ada AVilliams. Mrs. Ivan Johnston, of Kopane, has returned to Palmerston North from a visit to Taupo. Mrs. H. Alanson, of Alelbourne, has been the guest of Air. and Airs. Andrew Guy, Palmerston North. Air. and Mrs. J. Linklater, Palmerston North, are spending a few days in Wellington. Jlr. and Airs. Alan Guy, of Kairanga, are spending the week-end in Hawke’s Bay as the guests of Air. and Airs. Leslie Nelson. Mr. and Airs. G. H. Stiles and Aliss Alarion Stiles, of “Woodlands,” Palmerston North, are spending a few days in Wellington. Airs. A. N. Barraud, of Palmerston North, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. J. Stanford, of Alarton. Air. and Airs. E. M. Bundle, Wellington, who have been the guests of Mr. and Airs. J. Shearer at Masterton, have returned home. Mrs. H. T. Wood has returned to Alasterton from a visit to Wellington. Airs. D. Robbie, Palmerston North, is the guest of Mr. and Airs. G. Robbie at Alasterton. . Free have returned to Alasterton from the Chateau, Tongariro. , , Air. and Mrs. D. Rockel, Palmerston North, have returned from a visit to Mr. and Mrs. F. Rockel at Alasterton. Air. and Airs. E. S. Tomlinson have returned to Masterton from a visit to Mr. and Mrs. J. Andrew at “lea,” Masterton. Airs. A. Caselberg, Alasterton, has left on a visit to Rotorua. MADAME MENERE ARRIVES SHORTLY. Madame Alenere, who will be arriving in the North Island shortly, is at present touring in the South, where her Fur Exhibition is attracting big crowds daily. Particularly interesting are the squirrel furs on display, these embracing the very latest dictates of fashion. —Advt.
