BOWLS

GALA DAY ON WELLINGTON CLUB’S GREEN. Although the eastern suburbs bowling clubs are to hold a small tournament at Easter, the official end of the season as far as the Wellington Bowling Centre is concerned will come this afternoon. It will be marked by a gathering of bowlers on the Wellington Club’s green, and, if the weather permits, by a series .of interesting games and the presentation of prizes won during the season in events promoted by the centre. The games arranged for the afternoon are for the Junior Pennants between Johnsonville and Victoria, and games between the winners of all championship events and the Senior Pennants, who will be pitted against rinks supplied by the Wellington Club and centre.
