NEW AERO CLUBS

PROSPECTS OF GOVERNMENT APPROVAL, Dominion Special Service. Blenheim, February 22. Little hope of all aero clubs in the Dominion receiving Government approval wits expressed by the Director of Air Services (Wing-Commander S. Grant-Dalton) nt the aero clubs' conference last night. He stated that only four clubs in the Dominion at present had been approved—Auckland, Hawke s Bay, Marlborough, and Christchurch—anil 'Wellington would shortly be added. Speaking with Major-General Young, the latter hud stated that, seven clubs only might bo approved, although he read a letter from Air Marshal Sir Geoffrey Salmond from India stating that they had five clubs there. By comparing populations it could be seen that the other twenty clubs asking for approval had but a small chance.
