THIRD CABIN TRAVELLERS Passengers from New Zealand aud Australia intending to return third class from London by the P. and O. Royal Mail Line steamers Mongolia and Moldavia, which are scheduled to leave Loudon for Sydney, via Suez, on September 5, aud November 28, will be interested to learn that it has been definitely decided to reserve all third cabin accommodation In these steamers exclusively for returning Australians and New Zealanders, and independent travellers. This means that passengers of the migrant class will not be carried on these voyages. Arrangements for accommodation can be made through the Sydney office of the company. The company also wishes it to be known that tn future all Royal Mall steamers not calling at Hobart will leave Sydney at 4 p.m. on day of sailing, instead of noon as heretofore. Vessels calling at Hobart will leave Sydney at noon on the advertised dates. MARAMA FOR SYDNEY. The Union Company’s Marama is scheduled to leave Wellington at 3 p.m. to-day for Sydney, where she is due on Tuesday morning. AORANGI AT VANCOUVER. The Union Company advise that the Aorangl from Sydney and Wellington is due at Vancouver to-day. The vessel is scheduled to leave again on February 5 for Honolulu, Suva, Auckland and Sydney, and is due at Auckland on February 23. CAMBRIDGE LEAVES PANAMA. Cabled news has been received bj' the Federal Company that the Cambridge arrived at Panama on Monday from Wellington, and sailed again on Tuesday for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain. She left Wellington on January 7. THE ANGLO CANADIAN. The Geo. H. Scales Company advise that the Anglo Canadian, which is under charter to that company, will now not arrive at Wellington until probably on Sunday from Port Pirle. MAIMOA LEAVES COLON. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company have been notified by cable that the Maimoa left Colon on Tuesday evening for London, en route from Napier. She sailed from Napier on January 6. PACIFIC COAST LOADINGS. Forward loadings of Union Company steamers at Pacific Coast ports are approximately as follow: — . The Wairuna will load during the first half of March for Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. She Is to clear Los Angeles on March 15 and is due at Wellington on April 11. The Kairanga will load during the middle of March for Napier, New Plymouth and possibly Wanganui and .Nelson. She is to clear Los ■■ Angeles on March 20 and is due at Napier on April The Waiotapu will load during March for Papeete, Auckland and Australia. She is to clear Los Angeles on March 23 and is due at Auckland on April 20. ROTORUA FROM LIVERPOOL. Very stormy weather was encountered during the first week of the passage of the New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Rotorua, which arrived at Auckland from Liverpool on Tuesday morning. The vessel sailed from Liverpool on December 21. The vessel is unloading general merchandise from West Coast ports of Great Britain at Auckland, and will call at Napier, Wellington Lyttelton, and Port Chalmers to complete discharge. Captain E. Holland is in command and he has with him the following officers:— Chief, Mr. J. C. Burton; second, Mr. J. C. Saul; third, Mr. H. F. Wilkinson; fourth, Mr. L. F. Fulcher; first wireless operator, Mr. E. Thrherne; second, Mr. H. 11. Green; surgeon, Dr. J. W. Selmour; chief engineer, Mr. G. Little; second, Mr. G. Donald: third, Mr. W. Green; fourth, Mr. C. Shepherd; fifth, Mr. R. Murray; sixth, Mr. P. Newton; seventh, Mr. J. 'Young; eighth, Mr. A. Morgan; chief refrigerating engineer, Mr. S. Parrot; second, Mr. R. McCann; steward in charge, Mr. R. Swift. MESS TABLE GOSSIP. Captain A. H. Prosser is now in command of the Maori, vice Captain B. B. Irwin, who has taken command of the Wahlne, relieving Captain W. D. Cameron for holiday leave. Captain W. Whitefield has taken temporary command of the Kahika, relieving Captain G. W. Godfrey. Captain R. L. Davies Is standing by in Newcastle, and is to take command of the Karetu in place of Captain G. Ruxton, who will go on holiday. Mr. M. M. McArthur, of the Canterbury Steam Shipping Company’s staff, has passed his examination for a certificate as master tn the home trade. .

MISCELLANEOUS. The - Waipahi Is due. here to-morrow from Napier and will leave again later the same day for Bluff. She will then load northwards for Wellington, Napier and Gisborne. The Komata, from Westport, is due here on Sunday and will return again on Tuesday to the same port to load again for Wellington. The Kalmai Is due here to-morrow from Greymouth, and the Kanna and Kaituna on Sunday from the same port. The John from southern ports is due here on Tuesday and goes on to New Plymouth and Waikato. From Bluff, via ports, the Calm Is due here on Sunday and will leave on Monday. for' Wanganui, returning to Wellington and southern ports; The Kahika will now leave Dunedin today, via ports, for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth. LINERS COASTWISE. The Port Denison left Wellington shortly before 4 p.m. yesterday for Lyttelton, from which port she is to sail to-morrow night for Dunedin to complete discharge. The vessel is to sail from Dunedin on Tuesday for New Plymouth to commence lO The ß Port Dunedin arrived at Wellington yesterday afternoon from Dunedin. She will leave here to-night for Auckland to complete her cargo. The Cornwall arrived at Auckland at 7.30 am. yesterday from Napier, to complete loading. She will sail from Auckland next Thursday for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain. The Rotorua is to get away from Auckland to-morrow for Napier and Wellington, in continuation of her voyage from Liverpool. She is expected to arrive at Wellington next Thursday. The Cumberland will clear Lyttelton today for Port Chalmers to continue discharge of her Liverpool cargo. The Rimutaka will now get away from Napier on Sunday for Waikokopu to proceed with her loading. The Ferndale arrived at Gisborne at 6 a.m. yesterday from Wellington for further loading She is to leave Gisborne on Monday for Auckland, and is to sail finally the latter port next Friday, instead of the following day, for London, via Panama Canal. The Tainui, now loading at Bluff, will leave there next Wednesday for Wellington, where she is due next Friday to fill up. The Mahana arrived at Napier yesterday afternoon from Wellington to complete loading. Her departure from Napier for London, via Panama Canal, has been postponed till Monday. The Rangitane is now fixed to leave Wellington at 5 p.m. to-day for Auckland, to put out the remainder of her cargo from London.
