BRITAIN’S OVERSEAS TRADE

MARKED IMPROVEMENT LAST YEAR (Rec. January 25, 5.5 p.m.) Rugby, January 24. The total value of last year’s overseas trade was lower than that of 1924, which was the best year since the postwar trade slump, but in the actual volume of trade there was marked improvement. The imports during last year represent a 10.9 per cent, increase in volume as compared with those of 1924, and tho exports were 8 per cent, greater in volume than in 1924.
