SEARCH FOR NEW GROUNDS BRITISH SURVEY VESSEL (United Prow Association.—By Electric tuniceu Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Rea. January 25, 5.5 pan.) x Rugby, January 24. Important plans to help the fishing Industry were announced by the Chancellor of the Exchequer in the House of Commons yesterday. A survey vessel for better exploration and discovery of new fishing grounds is to be built at a cost of £BO,OOO, and running expenses estimated at £34,000 a year for the next five years are also to be paid by the Exchequer. The ship is to be constructed and equipped by the Admiralty in Naval dockyards, and is to operate under control of the Chief Hydrographer of the Navy. The construction and maintenance of this vessel by the Government is in accordance with the recommendation of the committee which was set up in October and only yesterday presented its interim report.
