DANCE FOR MISS NORWOOD

Miss Eileen Norwood, who is to be married shortly, has been guest of honour at a number of parties lately, and on Saturday night Mrs. I'ither, of Mastertoil, -ave a dance in honour of her and her fiance, Mr. George, which was held iu the private room at the Hitz. This room has a splendid floor, and a panatrope supplied the music. with several of the guests assisting by playing for some ot the dances. The room is brightly decorated with red, blue,, and gold, and no further decoration .was' necessary, but a basket Of’beautiful ted roses stood ou the piano and . bowls of these decorated the supper table also, the table being set upstairs. Several bridge tables were prepared for those who did not dance, and these were tilled during most of the evening. Mrs. Pitber received her guests wearing blue georgette embroidered in a crossover .design of silver beads and tailing longer at one side. Airs. Pither and alsu her daughter, .who was in a frock of pale blue satin, assisted'her in looking alter the guests, all of whom had a very happy evening. Miss Eileen Norwood wore a frock of pale pink completely covered with fringes of shaded pink bends caught at the waist-line with silver. Mrs. Norwood wore a gown of moonlight blue with all-over design of blue and black sequins. Aliss‘Edna Norwood wore heliotrope georgette/the skirt cut in points and with insets of heliotrope silk embroidery; Air. Norwood was present, also Airs. George, who wore black silk and georgette, Messrs. George; Mrs. Searle, wearing red embossed georgette: Miss Ida Searle, in floral georgette; Mr. and Mrs. Gledhill, Mr. and Mrs. Ogilvie. Mr. and Mrs. Gibbons. the latter in black lace over gold; Mr, and Mrs. Lawson, the latter m pink : Miss Joy Pearson, in pink taffetas amj lace; Mr. and Mrs. McGowan, Mr. and Mrs. Karsley, Mr. and Mrs. Jackson, and Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong (England).
