MAIL ROBBERY
THEFT OF REGISTERED BAG (Rec. January 1, 7 p.m.) Sydney, January 1. When the Island steamer Marsina arrived at Sydney to-day it was discovered that her registered mail bag, from inside another bag, and the whole of the registered mail from the mandated territory, was stolen. The ■ value is considerable.
Apparently the theft was committed during the voyage to Sydney, the thief leaving the vessel with his booty before the mails were unloaded.
