CHARITY STAMP APPEAL

SUGGESTIONS TO THE PUBLIC. An announcement by the Government Health Department regading Charity Stamps, appears in the advertising columns of this issue.' Reference to this scheme has already appeared in our columns under the heading of.Christwas Seals, and the public, no doubt, have a good idea of the purpose of the campaign. The notion Is to sell charity stamps at twopence—one penny for postage and one penny for health, the proceeds of the fund going towards the establishment of children’s health camps, and tlie spreading of knowledge in regard to tuberculosis. The suggestion is made that individuals should place a charity stamp on every letter and parcel that they post, whilst business firms may bo inclined to put the stamp on their mail for. say, one week. A personal appeal hap been made both by the Prime Minister, and the Minister of Health, for the support of the public, and it is hoped that, the appeal will be an entirely successful one.
