Wanganui. December IS. At a meeting of the Wanganui Orphanage Committee, held yesterday, a letter was read from Messrs. Armstrong and Barton, solicitors, conveying the information that the late Mr. H. D. Bates bad bequeathed to the orphanage £i->0 Tlie late Mr. Bates always took a very great interest in the orphanage.
