PRESENTATION OF PRIZES An enjoyable entertainment was given by the pupils of the Convent School in the Kinema Hall, Johnsonville, on Tuesday evening, as a “break up” of the school year. Finale. “God Defend New Zealand,” sung by the School. DISTRIBUTION OF PRIZES. The prizes were distributed by Father Rohan in the morning. Father Rohan said the Sisters had provided a little souvenir for each pqpil for the first year of the school. The results had been very good in every standard. Fifteen candidates were presented for the proficiency examination, Fourteen gained proficiency certificates and one a competency. He hoped that the record made this year would be maintained in future years. The prize list was as follows:— All the prizes except the medal for Christian Doctrine in the senior division were donated by a friend of the Brisidine Nuns.
