Commodore Geoffrey Blake, R.N., C.B„ officer in 'charge of the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy, lias arranged to visit Palmerston North on December 10 On the following day he will make a visit to the Flock Houses. Mr. ,T. Tulloch, of Kolnikohu, Hokianga, formerly a well-known resident of Pahintun, has been visiting Palmerston North. ~ ~ The funeral of the late Mr. Alex. Mackintosh, of Okoia, Wanganui, which took place on Sunday afternoon, was largely attended. - Representatives were present from all parts of the district, and the Mayor (Mr. W. J. Rogers) and Councillor C. P. Brown represented Wanganui citv. The service was conducted by the Rev. McNcur, who said that the district had lost not only a citizen and councillor but a true friend. The death has occurred at Wanganui of Mr. David Lind at the age of 82.
