MADE PARTIES

ACTION UNDER AWARD. . Palmerston North, November 15. In the Arbitration Court, sitting at Palmerston North to-day, the New Zealand Federated Storemen and Packers’ Industrial Association of Workers made application under the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act, 1925, to add seven parties to the Northern Taranaki, Wellington, Canterbury, Otago and Southland Packers’ Award. His Honour, Mr. Justice ‘Fraser, -was on the Bench and with him were Air. L. M. Montieth (employee’s representative) and Mr. L. J. Sehmitt (employers’ representative). The Manawatu Flour Mills Ltd., one of the parties concerned, objected on the ground that it was governed by the Dominion Flourmillers’ Award of 1915, which was still in operation. The company was accordingly deleted from the application. His Honour made an order bringing the following parties under the award: Johnston and Co., Ltd., general mer. chants; Durward and Davidson, Ltdgeneral merchants; A. J. Pnlmer and Co., seed merchants; Hodder and Tolley. Ltd., seed merchants; W. Ptiklowski, coal merchant; IVatson Bros., general merchants, all of Palmerston North.
