MAGISTRATE’S COURT
POLICE CASES. Mr. T. B. McNeil. SAI., presided over the Magistrate’s Court on Saturday morning. ' , Arthur Frederick Evans, aged 49, was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment on a charge of having assaulted a woman in IVoolworth’s shop in Cuba Street on Friday night. Senior-Sergeant IVard stated' that the accused, who had been previously convicted, bad gone around the shop assaulting different women ef different ages. The Magistrate in passing sentence said that he was not satisfied that the action of the accused in pressing himself against different women in the shop wap accidental and not pf an immoral nature, ’ Joseph Keys, alias James Cullen, aged 41, was fined £1 for Iris second offence of drunkenness, ' For his third offence of drunkenness, Christopher Mooney, aged 44. was fined £l.
