TOUR OF NEW ZEALAND
ARRANGEMENTS OF THEIR EXCELLENCIES On the conclusion of the session of Parliament the Governor-General and Lady Alice Fergusson propose to leave for Christchurch, where they will fulfil a number of engagements. After leaving Christchurch, Their Excellencies will visit Napier, where they wiU spend two or three days. On November 20 the Governor-General will perform the ceremony of opening the Waikaremoana hydro-electric power works. Their Excellencies will then visit Gisborne and Rotorua en route to Auckland, the dates of arrival at and departure from Auckland being November 26 and December 1 respectively. Among other engagements during his stay at Auckland His Excellency will attend the dedication of the Cenotaph and Hall of Memories, and will open the Auckland War Memorial Museum. On December 2 and 3 visits will be paid to Hamilton and Palmerston North. Spending December 5 and 6at Wellington, Their Excellencies will leave on the 7th for Invercargill, where they will attend the annual show of the Royal (New Zealand) Agricultural Society, leaving on December 12 fot- a four days’ stay at Dunedin. Oamaru and Timaru will be visited on December 17 and 18, and Their Excellencies will arrive at Wellington on December 20, remaining until the 29th, when they will travel to Auckland for a final visit. * ' Leaving Auckland on the evening of January 5, Their Excellencies will return to Wellington, ‘and during the second week of January will go to Christchurch and Dunedin, spending a day in each city. From January 17 until February 1, the date of their departure from the Dominion, Their Excellencies will be at Wellington.
