LODGE MEETING
ORDER OF ODDFELLOWS. Zealaiidfa Lodge, No. 48, 1.0.0. F., New Zealand, held Its fortnightly meeting at Newtown on Thursday evening, Bro. F. A. Bezzant. N.G., presiding over a good attendance of members. Four members were reported on tlic sick list, four members having declared off the funds since the previous meeting, relative sick pay being passed for payment. Election of officers for the ensuing term resulted as follows:— N.G.. Bro. R. W. Harvey; V.G.,’ Bro. C. C. Blakemore; rec. secretary. Bro. J. E. Maley, P.G.; financial secretary, Bro. E. D. Wallis, P.G. (re-elected); treasurer, Bro. H. J. Darkins, P.G. (re-elected). The secretary reported having attended a meeting of the medical fund committee and a meeting of secretaries convened for the purpose of discussing the U.F.S. Dispensary. The conferring of three degrees at the next meeting of the degree lodge on three members eligible was approved. The challenge of Maraenui Lodge for the Bradley Memorial Crlbbage Shield was accepted for next meeting. After the conclusion ot lodge business supper and cards were enjoyed by those present.
