SALARY “CUTS”
REPRESENTATIONS TO PREMIER The case for the restoration of the Civil Service salary “cuts" was placed before the Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. Sir Joseph Ward) yesterday by deputations from the Civil Service Association and members of Parliament representing the three political parties. The proceedings in each case were in camera. It was subsequently intimated that the Prime Minister’ would in due course make a statement on the matter in the House of Representatives.
