SATISFACTORY RESULTS FROM OPERATION COMPLETE RECOVERY HOPED FOR (British Official Wirelegs,) Rugby, July 27. The King is understood to be making excellent progress towards recovery, and It is hoped that he will soon be able to take exercise out of doors. In the current issue of the “Lancet” It is stated that the measures taken to promote the drainage of the abscess were fully justified and have achieved a speedy success. The Inconvenience and discomfort of the first few days following any operation are not negligible, but the fact that the King was allowed to sit up for a short period as early as last Monday and for some hours bn Tuesday shows how little his general health has been disturbed. The “Lancet” adds: “We are entitled to hope that a complete recovery is now only a matter of time, and that no further interference will be required.” / ABLE TO LEAVE ROOM Australian Press Assn.—United Service.
