"The regulation was made.to protect young children who happen po be in the park from being run over by boys cycling on the footpaths. Mothers are entitled to the use of the Park for their children, and they should J?e relieved of any anxiety on that score.” These remarks were made by Mr. J. Miller. S.M., to a number of boys who appeared before him this morninng charged with riding bicycles on the Park footways. The Magistrate fined one 10s. 6d. and another 2s. 6d., the others being admonished and discharged.. Mr. Mackenzie Douglas, borough solicitor, stated thaf the cases had been brought as a warning to others. ComSlaints had been received of boys cycling i the Pack for some time.
