TRAINING FOR NAVAL RESERVISTS

PRACTICAL COURSE AT SEA Dominion Special Service. Auckland, January 15. Taking parties of the Volunteer Navy Reserve for practical training, the cruisers Dunedin and Diomede left this morning for the Hauraki Gulf. While in the gulf the cruisers will be joined by the sloop Veronica, whiqji is to leave port on Thursday. The Laburnum is to sail to-morrow on a four days’ visit to Tauranga, and on her return she will join the other vessels in their manoeuvres. After the manoeuvres the cruisers will visit the Great Barrier, and also Kawau, returning to Auckland on January 25. On January 30 they will leave again for Russell with further parties of reservists.
