A representative of the Rotorua “Chronicle” has just examined a new motor-car which returned from a trip to the top of Ngongotaha Mountain. There was hardly a square inch of its glossy enamel that was not scratched. The driver stated that tutu and fern had almost closed over the track, and It was a ruinous journey to attempt. The track was passable, but rough, nnd the deterioration caused to high-class motor-cars by abrasions on this track are as present constituted converted into cash would do the work several times over.
