DEALERS AND FISHERMEN DISAGREE.

When the Auckland fish retailers visited the markets this morning they found all the supplies being sorted into buckets, which they were offered at 255. each. Previously they have picked out their own requirements and purchased the fish by the pound. The dealers refused to accept the new method, and held an emergency meeting, at which it was decided to set up a committee to make inquiries in regard to future supplies and negotiate with the fishermen One retailer said they intended to see the matter out to the bitter end. which might mean having to arrange for trawling on a big scale. The distributors refuse to comment
