The Milk Committee reported to'the City Council on Thursday that the question had been raised as to the possibility of a smoke nuisance being created at the new milk station by the use of coal fire furnaces and steel stacks for the boilers. The committee was of opinion that the erection of one chimney stack 120 feet high built of bricks or reinforced concrete would minimise the likelihood of any nuisance being created in this direction, and recommenced accordingly. This was approved.
