North-west to west winds at first from Cook Strait northwards, but southwesterlies or southerlies, soon becoming general; moderate to strong generally Rather rough seas south of Cape Egmont and Castlepoint; elsewhere moderate. Fresh to strong south-westeYly winds iu the eastern Tasman Sea, veering westerly later in the southern portion with moderate to rather rough seas. ■Weather rather unsettled with scattered showers and in places probably thunder; cool night temperatures in the South Island.
