He wanted a whip handle made in a particular way, nnd to his own pattern, and in the course of his inquiries, came across Mr. E. H. Gibson. F.Z.S., who constructed a handle out of a piece of staghorn, shaping it exactly as required, and presented it to Mr. Walden. The handle is sin. long, and exquisitely turned and polished.
