FIREMEN SENT TO PRISON

SEQUEL TO LYTTELTON FRACAS. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.) Christchurch, November 21. As a sequel to the disturbance in Lyttelton on Saturday, four firemen appeared in Court to-day. For assaulting a constable, Philip Hock was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment. For obstructing the police. William Reylands was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment. For fighting with a person unknown, resisting arrest, and assaulting a constable John Henry Harris was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment. For assaulting a constable, John James Porter was sentenced to three mouths’ imprisonment. All the sentences are with bard labour.
