GENERAL ASSEMBLY OPENS

The Presbyterian General Assembly opened with a crowded audience in St David’s Church to-night. The Moderator (Professor Hewitson), of Dun edin, was installed, and delivered his inaugural address, dealing particuiarlj with the.unity of the Christian Church The routine business of the assembly will start to-morrow.
