At the Supreme Court to-day, before Mr. Justice MacGregor, John Corry and Thomas David, alias Davis, both Assyrians, were sentenced to four years’ Imprisonment with hard labour on two charges of breaking, entering, and theft, involving £76 in money and £35 in goods, the sentences to be concurrent with those imposed in Dunedin recently. His Honour commented that the accused were professional criminals, and wora na doubt members of a gang.
