SALE OF SOVIET ART TREASURES

GERMANY PLEDGED BY

AGREEMENT

(Australian Press Association.)

Berlin, October 31

Tlie directors of the salerooms, in which Soviet art treasures arc to be offered by auction, have strict orders to refuse admission to all Russians, including nobles. The Foreign Office has rejected the Russian exiles’ protests on the ground that Germany’s trade agreement with Russia pledges her to permit the sale of Soviet-owned goods. Any dispute on that point can be settled in the Law Courts.
