MOVING PICTURES
Sir, —Before the last echo of the Winter Show dies away may I refer to the excellent moving pictures provided by the New Zealand Government Publicity Department at the show? Educational, scenic, and really humorous (not allegedly so) pictures were shown, and I was forced to the conclusion that if those in the moving picture business would provide us with such programmes they would be doing a lot of good. As it is, most of the stuff we see at the movies is of the objectionable sex sort, and a good deal of it is neither good for old, middle-aged nor young people. We want the clean, healthy, humorous stuff.—l am, etc., PATER. Wellington, October 21.
