CHEAPER PETROL

AUTOMOBILE CLUB’S ARRANGEMENT t An important matter arose at the Wellington Automobile Club's executive meeting last night, when a subcommittee reported that it had come to an agreement with one of the oil companies to supply the members of the club with petrol in case lots at 14s. Bd. per case, free on rail or boat in Wellington, or free delivery in Wellington delivery area; and at 16s. 2d. per case at Palmerston North. The company will take all shipping liability, and agrees to sore free of charge where six case lots are ordered, members lifting a case at a time as they require it. It was stated that 2000 cases had been put off ship that day, and circulars were to be sent to members forthwith. Members will be advised about pump supplies in about ten days’ time. There will be free storage at Wellington or at Palmerston North.
