Mr. AV. Sandilands, of Feilding, is visitiilg Christ church. Mr. F. AL Keesing, a former secretary of the Palmerston North Y.M.C.A., sailed for Honolulu by the Aorangi on Tuesday. From Honolulu he will proceed to' America, where he will study Maori research. . Recent visitors to Palmerston North were Messrs. J. AV. Murray (1 eatherston) and D. Dickie (AVanganui). Mr. L. 11. Lewis, a resident of Masterton for 36 years, is leaving to take up residence in Palmerston North. Mr. 11. B. Dyer, accountant at the Bank of Australasia at Masterton, has retired on superannuation. Mr. S. L. P. Free, S.M., of Masterton, who is retiring from the Bench, Mas presented on Tuesday with a smokers companion by the staff of the Mastert ,i Court, Hie clerk of court at Palnatua. and Sergeant T. 11. Dyer, of Masterton. , r TT T Firemen E. Jenkins and 1/. 11. LeMis, of Masterton, are retiring from the Masterton Fire Brigade after 2!) years service each. The former was for three years deputy-superintendent. At a gathering on Tuesday they were the recipients of presentations itom the brigade.
