An interesting fact was mentioned to a reporter at Stewart Island by Mr. Adam Adamson, of Mason’s Bay (says the "Southland Times ). He said that a year or two ago it was a common thing for him to pick up golt balls on the bench. Where they came from was a mystery to him. h or the last year, however, he had found none, which led him to the conclusion that the river or stream by which they had been conveyed to sea had been netted. .....
