The ciiauipiouships at Hie Colombes Stadium provided au interesting review o£ French athletes in view of the Olympic Games La Doumeguc won tlio 1500 metres in 3min. 52 l-usec.. beating Nurmi's world record by two-fifths of a second. Feger wou tho 400 metres iu 48 4-ssec., beating the French record, which has stood for nineteen years. 'Tim performances in the 5000 and 10,000 metres, however, were not brilliant, causing critics to suggest that France confine its efforts to events iu which it has good chances at Hie Games. Sempo Viel registered moderate performances in tlie hurdles events. The women’s meeting, as a preliminary to the Olympic Games, resulted iu six records being beaten or equalled. Mademoiselle Radidcau equalled the world’s reeord in winning file 100 metres in 12 2-5 sec., and Mademoiselle Neveu won tlio SOO metres in 2min. 26 2-sscc. TO. Peltzcr is credited with having run 1500 metres at Berlin, in 1926, in 3min. 51 sec. J
