TRAINING OPERATIONS DEMPSEY TO SPAR WITH HEENEY {Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) New York. July 17. A message from Fairhaven, New Jersey, slates that Tom Heeney prefers to train in daylijgbt. Night boxing was begun in order to accustom him to the Yankee Stadium glare. His managers acquiesced when Heeney complained of interruption to his sleep. He said that he did not wish Io use a heavy punching bag, as it was .wrenching his shoulders, which were muscle-bound some years ago. Dempsey is going to spar with Heeney. It is considered that Tunncy is attempting Io dull his lighting-edge. He is principally engaged in roadwork and resting, mid is planning a flight in an aeroplane wild Commander Byrd.
