Rugby, July 10.' Another stage in the task of the Im-
perlnl War Graves Commission will reach completion when on July 22 General Sir Alexander. Hamilton Gordon unVeils at Sotasons a memorial to British soldiers who fell in tho war
on the Alsne and Marne in 1918. The Work of the commission is to see that - the name of every soldier who died in France is somewhere inscribed' in permanent formation. In most cases the names are on stones, but those'of unknown soldiers whose bodies are unlocatcd or unidentified are commemorated on the Walls of cemeteries or on .memorials. At Soissohs the sculpture is the work of Mr. Eric Kennington, and is extremely impressive.
