OFFER BY MR. P. A. McHARDY

Palmerston North, Maj’ 22.

A generous offer of £2OO towards the cost of providing new gates at the Esplanade has been received from Mr. P. A. McHardy by the Palmerston North Borough Council, which at its meeting last night expressed its sincere thanks for the offer.

Further action in the matter was deferred until Councillor Fitzherbert, chairman of the Reserves Committee, had interviewed Mr. McHardy.
