MEMORIAL TO GENERAL WILLIAM BOOTH

London, May 11.

Ten thousand people were present at the laying of the foundation stones of the Salvation Army International Training College p.t Denmark Hill as a memorial to General William Booth. The memorial will cost £330,000, of which the sum of £250,000 has been subscribed. The site covers 74 acres, providing accommodation for 600 men and woman students, who will live in hostels. The buildings -were designed by Sir Giles Scott, architect of the Liverpool Cathedral.
