In consequence of the depression in the heavy steel trade, Baldwin’s, Ltd., have sold heavy mill and rolling gear at the Margam Works, Port Talbot, erected in war-time, for re-erection in Australia by the new company which is being formed there. According to Swansea advices, Messrs. Baldwin’s and Dorman, Long are interested in the new company; also Messrs. Hoskins. The new company will have a capital of £5,000,000. It is to be known as the Australian Iron and Steel Company.
