CITY MILK SYSTEM
— ♦ “SOUND FROM ALL POINTS OF VIEW”
The Milk Committee reported to the City Council last night that Mr. W. S. Wilson had waited on them with reference to the new milk station, and recommended that the erection of the station be not proceeded with on the ground that the present system of pasteurisation was not in the interest of public health. The committee recommended that no action be taken in this matter as they were firmly of opinion that the existing system, which was the outcome of expert medical advice and research, was sound from every point of view.
Cr. W. H. Bennett said that the committee heard what Mr. W’ilsou had to say on the matter, but with the eight * years’ experience of the work which had been done by the department, the committee had no hesitation in coming to the conclusion stat ed in the report.
The report and recommendations ware adonted.
