SLOW WORK MAY MEAN LOWER PAY Melbourne. May 8. Giving evidence before Judge Beeby, in the Arbitration Court, Mr. Trevalyn Bland, of the Timber Discharging Company, produced figures showing that the handling of both American and Baltic timbers had fallen considerably, on account of the workers slowing down.

The Judge said that it it were proved that there was a definite' diminution of output, the ultimate result would be a reduction of the rates of pay.
