WIRELESS AND CABLE

REPORT OF CONFERENCE (Australian Press Assn.—United Service.) (Rec. May 6, 5.5 p.m.) London, May 5. There is reason to believe that the Government is now in possession of the views of the wireless and cable conference in the form of a draft summary report of the recommendations, if not the actual report. A Government announcement is expected for Monday, when questions will be asked in the House of Commons. The “Financial News” believes the report is in favour of the PlenderGarnsey amalgamation proposals, _ despite the fact that other suggestions concerning the purchase of the Government's telegraphic interests had been considered by the conference.
