BOULCOTT STREET
> — NOW COMPLETELY PAVED The paving of Boulcott Street, which was finished’'’ at noon yesterday,, completes another very important link in the paving system of Wellington, as all four ways' of reaching Wellington Terrace are now surfaced with bituminous hot-mix, making the approaches to the western high levels more practicable and far more pleasant than they ever have been. The four approaches are Bowen and Woodward Streets (done last year), Ghnznee Street (done in 1926), aiid Boulcott Street.' As the higher end of the latter street is steep, and has a sharp bend, a fairly rough pebble finish has been administered to pievent-skidding in wet weather as far as possible. The gang that was employed at Boulcott Street appear to have made a very good job of it. The onlv shortcoming is at that point where Athol Crescent surges out on to Boulcott Street, on such a grade that it is difficult to know liow it can be cut down (in safety), and vet have the jun’tion on a level with Boulcott Street. ' The gang is now employed in paving Maginnity Street.
