FIRE DAMAGE
OUTBREAK IN PALMERSTON
SHOP.
Palmerston North, March 22. About 7.30 to-night the Palmerston Fire Brigade received a call to a soft goods shop in Main Street, where a fire had broken out. The premises were occupied by K. Bahout. lhe firemen were not long tn quelling the outbreak, which was discovered before it had obtained a hold, but clouds of smoke soon atracted a large crowd to the spot. The damage was not extensive; and was chiefly caused by smoke and' water. : The insurances are not available.
