MASTERTON CLUB.

The annual meeting of the Masterton Harrier Club was held to-night, Mr J. Hunter occupying the chair. The report stated that no outstanding running performances had occurred during the year. W. A. Poiuton had won the ffive mile event and S. Carr tlie Cameron Cup. If the club was to be successful in competition with other clubs then the standard of running must be considerably improved, and to effect this more systematic training would have to be undertaken by all active members. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr. G. Shaw;. president Mr. I. Cameron; vice-presidents, Messrs. F. M. Reynolds, T. Wyeth, A. Donald, A. A. Nattrass, C. M. Strouts, E. J. Heffer, T. T. Denbee, B. Iveson; secretary, Mr. H. Henderson; treasurer, Mr. T. Lowis; club captain, Mr. L. A Keats; vice captain, Mr. R. Campbell; handicapper, Mr. T. Law; committee, Messrs. W. Winball, R. Gully, G. Carr, L. Emerv, J. Kitchener. A. Spicer, C. Willis- delegate to sub-centre, L. A. Keats; delegate to Wellington Centre, Mr. A. A. Nattrass; Press reporters, Messrs. T. Law and L. Emery.. It was decided to hold a preliminary run on April 14, and the official opening on April 28, /
