EMINENT ENGLISH SURGEON
ADDRESS BY
MR. V. BONNEY.
A large number of Wellington medical men attended at the new offices of the British Medical Association, the Terrace, on Tuesday night to hear an address by Mr. V. Bonney, the eminent London surgeon. Sir Donald McGavin, president of the local branch of the association, presided. At the conclusion of the address, Dr. T. F. Corkill, on behalf of the New Zealand Obstetrical Society, presented Mr. Bonney with a silver and greenstone inkstand as a memento of his visit. Mr. Bonnev acknowledged the gift, and paid a tribute to the enthusiasm and energy of Dr. Doris Gordon (of Stratford), secretary of the society. He spoke of the kindness he had received during his tour of New Zealand, and presente’d to the New Zealand Obstetrical Society framed illuminated addresses of greetings and congratulation from the surgical staff of the Chelsea Hospital for Women, and also from the Council of the Section of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the Royal Society of Medicine. Mr. Bonney left yesterday for Palmerston North, 'Wanganui, and Taranaki.
