Bennett, member of the Federal House for Calgary, was chosen as Conservative leader in succession to Mr. Arthur Meighen, at the Conservative Convention on Wednesday. —A.P.A. and “Sun.” EXCLUSION OF ORIENTALS (Rec. October 13, 7.30 p.m.) Ottawa, October 12. The Winnipeg National Conservative Convention adopted an immigration resolution providing for the exclusion of Orientals.
