The Hon. J. Craigie, M.L.C., left Wellington yesterday for the north.
Sir John Luke, M.P., who contracted a bad attack of influenza during a visit to the country last week-end, has now recovered. * He resumed his Parliamentary duties yesterday. The reappointment of the following members to the Medical Council was gazetted last night:—Drs. W. Irving, W. Newlands, and W. IT. Parkes. . The death of Mr. James Sherbrooke Hanson Long, formerly proprietor of the “New Zealand Tribune” and manager of the “Spectator” and the "Stock and Station Journal” in New Zealand, is announced by a Press Association message from.
