BRITISH SUBSIDY TO AEROPLANE CLUBS

Rugby, October 9. The Air Ministry .is granting subsidies tor three years up to £2OOO per annum eacli to four additional light aeroplane clubs. Similar assistance is already given to six clubs in various parts of the country, the four new ones being the Bristol, Norwich, Nottingham, and Scottish Clubs. The basis of the subsidy is payment by results, £5O being handed to the club for each member gaining a flying proficiency certificate. The club must be self-sup-porting.
